Afërdita Dreshaj (born July 19, 1986) is an Albanian public figure best known for being crowned Miss Universe Kosovo 2011 and representing the Republic of Kosovo in Miss Universe 2011. Dreshaj is a well-known singer in Albanian speaking countries, having debuted with her first single "Nëse Je Burrë" in 2009.
Dreshaj was born in present day Montenegro, and moved to the U.S. at age 12. She began her career as a model at age 17, upon being discovered by a photographer. She was previously engaged to Albanian singer Shpat Kasapi, a finalist in Festivali i Këngës 47. In 2013, Dreshaj and Kasapi separated. In Miami in February 2013, Dreshaj was spotted on a hotel balcony with actor Leonardo Di Caprio, although she told news outlets they were just friends. Dreshaj currently lives in Michigan with her mother, brother, and sister.
Dreshaj, who stands 1.83 m (6 ft 0 in), competed as one of 20 finalists in Miss Universe Kosovo 2011, held in Pristina on January 15, 2011, where she obtained the Miss Press award and was crowned Kosovo's official representative to the 2011 Miss Universe pageant, broadcast live from São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011. She was a top 16 semifinalist.
